Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a stunning move for Trent Alexander-Arnold in latest Liverpool news.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano who report the Spanish giants are monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation at Anfield.
The Merseyside giants are not interested in selling one of their best players but the defender’s contract will expire in 2025 and no new talks are planned yet.
Los Blancos are set to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in the summer but they are also expected to be in the market for a new right-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best players to have emerged from Liverpool’s academy.
He made his senior debut in 2016 and went on to establish himself as a key member of the first team.
The 25-year-old has made over 300 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, helping them to Champions League and Premier League trophies.
He has been sidelined since the 3-1 win over Burnley in February due to knee ligament damage.
But despite injury, the England international has made 21 league appearances, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.
It is very unlikely that Liverpool will sanction a move for Alexander-Arnold in the summer unless Real come up with an enormous transfer fee. But even then we are not too sure they will accept an offer.
